The artist Clet Abraham, son of French writer Jean-Pierre Abraham, was born in Brittany in 1966. After studying fine art in France he finally settled in Florence where he hs established his art studio. Although not really a street artist, he has felt the need to express some of his views through the medium of street art, specifically by applying stickers to road signs. He maintains the readability of the sign, but at the same time turns them into something amusing or provocative. They pop up in many of the cities of Europe.
He objects to the plethora of road signs, many of which he feels are unnecessary and condescending. I have seen many of them on my travels and they always make me smile.
