The iconic Vespa made its first appearance in post-war Italy, in 1946, and is now known and loved the world over. In a CNN Survey in 2013, it was voted among the twelve objects that have most influenced world design in the last 100 years. Appearing in Roman Holiday in 1952 with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn certainly did its reputation no harm, and since then it has appeared in many films including Quadrophenia, American Graffiti, The Talented Mr. Ripley, 102 Dalmatians and Dear Diary.
